Instituted in 1914. Type I (1914 1945). In bronze with red enamels, measuring 35 mm in diameter, contact marks on the reverse, original ribbon with safety pin attachment, near extremely fine. In it cardboard box of issue, marked with a Red Cross and inscribed "KONINKLUKE BEEGER VOORSCHOTEN" on the lid, light wear and soiling on the exterior, box very fine.
